Let’s all wish each other a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, for ourselves, the Archive, and our members. We are moving along with renovations at Williams as well as collecting display cabinets and artifacts for the museum. If you have any artifacts depicting the county and the “olden times” please consider donating or lending them to the museum. Each item will be identified with the lender/donor’s name. We are planning to open to the public starting in January. Tentative times will be from 10am-3pm and days will depend on volunteers. If you can spare one day a week please let us know (if you have to miss an occasional day, we will have alternates).

At the Street Fair we passed out a lot of applications and received 4 new members. During the open house we had around 40 visitors. We currently have 117 members but need over 200 to pay our monthly bills. Membership would be a good Christmas present for friends and family that are interested in history and genealogy. Please consider this on your Christmas list. A copy of the application is attached, but all we need is a check and contact information sent to P.O. Box 162. You might also put on your list, something for the museum.
 

We would like to add family interests for each member to the membership list. Please send us generic names that spur your interests so we can do this ( just click on Reply, add the names and then click Send,  or you can call 601-799-5671 and leave a message).  We now have a phone (601-799-5671 and DSL hhma1908@att.net. The building also has a security system for fire and break-in.
 

Our General Membership meeting will be in the latter part of January. Will let you know time and date as the time approaches. At this meeting, or April’s, we will hold our “Formal” organizational meeting where members will approve the By-Laws and select a new slate of Board members. 

We’ve come a long way since organizing in November, 2010, but still have a long way to go.  Our success depends on you!
